At a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, Donald Trump suggested to his supporters that one way to avoid a potential President Hillary Clinton getting to select multiple Supreme Court nominees would be for armed rebellion. Trump said, “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is.”
After the internet showed its outrage, Trump’s spokesman Jason Miller released a statement: “It’s called the power of unification—2nd Amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power. And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won’t be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.” In response, the Clinton campaign said: “This is simple—what Trump is saying is dangerous. A person seeking to be President of the United States should not suggest violence in any way.”
And by the way, Hillary Clinton does NOT want to abolish the 2nd Amendment, and she has made that crystal clear.
