For some reason, Donald Trump has cancelled all his scheduled campaign events in Colorado, Nevada and Oregon that were planned for this week. This week was supposed to be “immigration week” for the Trump campaign, per Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway.
Trump will still attend a private fundraiser in Aspen, Colorado, although he will not make a speech on immigration that was scheduled in Denver on Thursday, according to the Denver Post.
The Trump campaign also said it had cancelled a planned rally in Las Vegas on Friday. No reason was given for the Nevada cancellation, but a planned Lake Tahoe fundraiser will continue as planned.
Another planned rally and fundraiser in Portland, Oregon, scheduled for August 31st, was cancelled, according to local CBS affiliate KOIN. Trump’s Oregon campaign director, Jacob G. Daniels, cited Trump’s visit to Baton Rouge, La., which has been ravaged by heavy flooding, as the reason for the cancellation.
This all comes at a time when Trump is being accused on flip-flopping on his immigration policies, hoping to attract more of the Hispanic vote.
So, what do you think is going on?
