Donald Trump has released his first TV ad of his campaign, and it’s just awful pandering. Titled “Two Americas: Economy”, the ad is a 30-second spot that will run in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada, Virginia and Colorado. Funny thing is, that Hillary Clinton is leading in most of those battleground states.
“In Hillary Clinton’s America, the middle class gets crushed, spending goes up, taxes go up, hundreds of thousands of jobs disappear. It’s more of the same — but worse,” the narrator says.
“In Donald Trump’s America working families get tax relief, millions of new jobs created, wages go up, small businesses thrive, the American dream — achievable. Change that makes America great again.” the narrator continues.
“Mr. Trump is going big to win this race. His positive message of economic opportunity is working and we see the national and battleground state polls all moving in the right direction,” Trump spokesman Jason Miller said in a statement. “With Hillary Clinton off the campaign trail yet again this week and continuing to take many communities’ votes for granted, we see this as the right time to show voters the benefits of an American economy under the leadership of Mr. Trump.”
