Well this is refreshing! After going on air and calling President Obama the worst president ever, football coach and panelist Mike Ditka is being fired from his job at ESPN. He is set to be replaced on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, less than a week after making the remarks.
Ditka has been on the show since 2006, and said that Obama was the worst president “we’ve ever had”. He continued. ‘He’s not a leader. This country needs leadership. It needs direction. It needs somebody that steps up front.’ Ditka did say that he would enjoy playing golf with the president though.
Ditka said, “We need somebody like Ronald Reagan. Everyone once in a while you’re gonna get punched in the chops but you keep going forward. There’s all there is to it.”
Ditka said he we will voting for Donald Trump, saying, “The people that hate him, hate him, but people like him because he says things that resonate with what they think. If I were to vote tomorrow, I’d probably vote for Trump.” Ditch will be replaced by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
