Donald Trump attended a pro-Trump town hall in Virginia Beach on Tuesday, where the audience was veterans, and Trump spoke about veteran issues and foreign policy. The moderator was supporter and retired general Mike Flynn.
And it was an absolute SH*T SHOW.
One of Trump’s big ideas was that he would stem refugee flows from the civil war in Syria by creating safe zones in the Middle East. And while the United States, under a Trump administration, would “lead the charge” in creating these zones, it would neither help build the zones nor pay for it—leaving the question open as to how America would get the zones done at all.
Trump also (not surprisingly) flat out lied. Trump furthered the misconception that illegal immigrants—who are not eligible for welfare, food stamps and most other forms of public assistance—are being treated better than veterans are; and he also made the ridiculous claim that ISIS is better equipped than American troops.
And then there was this:

Now, this is good for democrats, because Wednesday night is the primetime national security forum, hosted by NBC and The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, where Trump won’t have his favored, hand-picked questioner asking foreign policy questions.
