We now know who was responsible for the bombings over the weekend in New York and New Jersey.
Ahmad Khan Rahami was identified as the bomber after his fingerprints were found on one of the pressure cooker bombs that was not detonated.
Rahami was born in Afghanistan on January 23, 1988 and is a citizen of the United States. He is believed to be the man seen by NYPD and FBI on surveillance on both 23rd St and 27th St in Manhattan, the two mid-town cross streets at the center of Saturday night’s events.
A bomb inside a dumpster detonated between 6th and 7th Avenues on 23rd Street, and later an undetonated pressure cooker was found just four blocks to the north; surveillance indicated the presence of a man near both locations, and it is now believed to be Rahami.
According to the New York Times, Rahami’s family owns a fried chicken restaurant underneath the family’s apartment on Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth. “Rahami’s brother reportedly fled to Afghanistan after getting into a fight with a police officer about the business, and his father sued the city, alleging ethnic discrimination,” writes Vice News.
Trump of course, immediately went for the Islamic terrorist route, and not that it appears he could be correct, he is gloating and congratulating himself, and it is disgusting.
“I knew this was going to happen,” Trump bragged early Monday morning in a phone interview with Fox and Friends about the bomb that went off in New York City this weekend, injuring 29 people.
I should be a newscaster because I called it before the news,” Trump said of the guess he made before he had been briefed on the matter with anything resembling a fact. “What I said was exactly correct and everybody says while he was right, he called it too soon. Okay. Give me a break.”
Here’s the thing. Trump is catching up in the polls. We have heard for months that a terrorist attack is what would ultimately get Trump a win, which seems ridiculous considering what he wants to do with the Muslim population.
