Can you imagine being Donald Trump’s campaign manager? Being a campaign manager is a tough enough job. It is basically 24/7, especially at this point in the race, and comparably speaking, doesn’t pay a TON of money. Campaign managers for presidential campaigns normally make around 100-120K. Which course is a lot of money…but is it enough to deal with Donald Trump and all his shenanigans?
Donald Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Monday to discuss the most anticipated presidential debate in decades. It is believed that 100 MILLION people will be tuning in. That’s a third of the country. Monday Night Football is tonight…and not many will be tuning in to watch the Atlanta Falcons play the New Orleans Saints.
On Morning Joe, Conway complained that the debate would be unfair, saying, “Excuse the Trump campaign if we feel like we can’t get a fair shake from certain people.”
Acting as a surrogate for Trump, who has avoided interviews on networks not named Fox News, Conway faced intense questions about Trump’s decision to call tonight’s debate moderator Lester Holt “a Democrat,” even though the “NBC Nightly News” anchor is a registered Republican.
Conway said, “He didn’t lie. A lie would mean he knew the man’s party registration.”
Last week, Donald Trump made an appearance on Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” where he pronounced Holt a Democrat, saying, “Look, it’s a phony system. Lester is a Democrat. I mean, they are all Democrats. Okay? It’s a very unfair system.”
Donald Trump said Lester Holt is a Democrat. Holt happens to be a Republican. Donald Trump lied. PERIOD.
