Looks like Trump campaign workers are starting to jump ship!
Healy Baumgardner, an aide to Trump’s campaign whose official title was senior press representative, has resigned from the campaign. Baumgardner is a 20-year political operative who has worked on four presidential campaigns.
As reported by Bloomberg, Baumgardner said, “It is clear the campaign is now going in a direction I am no longer comfortable with and I have decided to move on.”
Baumgardner regularly appeared on CNN and MSNBC this year on behalf of the campaign, and baffled anchors with her unwillingness to answer basic questions. After her online gaffes, she was sent to Florida, where she managed Trump’s Florida campaign HQ.
Despite her split from the campaign, Baumgardner said she will “honorably” vote for Trump on Election Day. Her departure comes at a time when Trump has doubled- and tripled-down on his sexist attacks against a former Miss Universe.
