Looks like Donald Trump might be releasing his taxes returns before the election!
Now that the secret is out…and we know he probably hasn’t paid any federal taxes in decades, what’s left to hide?
Per the Wall Street Journal, after the first Presidential Debate Trump said, “My current returns will be released as soon as they’re complete.”
If he sought a six-month extension, as he appeared to do in previous year’s tax cycle, return would be due October 17th, which is two days before the final debate.
Trump could release his 2015 return to counter the New York Times story that he may have legally avoided paying federal income tax for 18 years starting in 1995 due to business losses, and could forgo deductions to make return “more politically palatable,” could amend returns up to three years later.
Trump has previously said he won’t release tax returns due to ongoing IRS audit, though no law would prevent him from doing so; his campaign in March released letter from his tax lawyers saying his returns for 2002-2008 were no longer under audit.
So, do you think this is good news and he will at least release his 2015 returns?
