First Ladies all have their causes…or platforms. Barbara Bush’s was literacy. Hillary Clinton’s was national policy. Laura Bush’s was education. Michelle Obama’s was childhood obesity.
Now we know what Melania Trump’s platform would be…and that is online bullying for children and to address the rampant “negativity” on social media that is “damaging for the children.”
Speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Melania said that as first lady she would not only seek to help women and children, but also look to guide kids on how to carry themselves online.
Melania said, “I see now in 21st century, the social media, it’s very damaging for the children. We need to guide them and teach them about social media because I see a lot of negativity on it and we need to help them.”
Look, I’m not going to hate on her for this issue. Yes, online bullying is a huge problem, especially for children and teenagers. It just seems odd considering her own husband loves to bully people online.
