Megyn Kelly interviewed New Gingrich Tuesday night, and was verbally attacked for asking a question about the allegations of sexual assault surrounding Donald Trump. It was a good question…a fair question. But conservatives are angry, and even Donald Trump applauded Gingrich’s attack on Kelly.
So, Kelly is at a crossroads, and now it looks like she will be leaving the network.
The Week, and other publications, are speculating that Megyn Kelly is leaving Fox News, much to the delight of her Trump-supporting detractors:
Megyn Kelly’s contract at Fox News will expire after the election, and the star anchor has publicly confessed that she doesn’t know what’s going to happen after that. “I’ve had a great 12 years here, and I really like working for Roger Ailes. I really like my show, and I love my team. But, you know, there’s a lot of brain damage that comes from the job,” she told Variety this spring.
In an “exclusive” report from Breitbart, the heads of the network were forming an alliance to block Kelly, and in an eye-opening bit of potential foreshadowing for TrumpTV, the website wrote:
At least one top talent inside Fox News has confirmed to Breitbart News that a major talent meeting among various different hosts is scheduled, and they are considering leaving with Roger Ailes to form a new network to compete with Fox.
“Everyone here hates Gretchen and Megyn,” the anonymous source reportedly told the website. Gretchen Carlson would later leave Fox News.
So, should Megyn Kelly leave?
