BREAKING: Donald Trump Has Appointed Billionaire Donor As Secretary Of Education – YOU SHOULD BE TERRIFIED!!!

Donald Trump has shocked many people when he appointed Betsy DeVos to head the Department of Education.

DeVos quickly accepted the nomination, which continues a trend that officials involved in previous transition teams say is concerning because, like many of Trump’s other early picks, she has no previous experience in government.

DeVos doesn’t believe in public education. She supports voucher programs that enable parents to use taxpayer money to send their children to private or parochial schools. This often sucks money and resources from public schools, and those students fall behind.

DeVos has never been a teacher or educator in any way. She has no education degree. She has never attended public school or a public university. Her children did not attend public schools. And best yet, she believes that public school teachers are overpaid.

From NBC News:

DeVos, a 58-year-old billionaire philanthropist from Michigan, leads the American Federation for Children, which promotes charter school education. She’s married to Dick DeVos, an heir to the Amway fortune, and is the sister to Erik Prince, founder of notorious government-contracted security company Blackwater, now known as Academi.

A major GOP donor who gave money to Carly Fiorina and Jeb Bush during the primaries, DeVos ultimately supported Florida Sen. Marco Rubio as the Republican candidate for president — not Trump.

Jeb Bush lauded her nomination, calling her an “outstanding pick.”

NBC News continues, “But the National Education Association, which supports public education causes, criticized DeVos as having a history of supporting policies that hurt students.

“She has consistently pushed a corporate agenda to privatize, de-professionalize and impose cookie-cutter solutions to public education. By nominating Betsy DeVos, the Trump administration has demonstrated just how out of touch it is with what works best for students, parents, educators and communities,” NEA President Lily Eskelsen Garcia said in a statement.”

But, she donated $10 million dollars to Trump’s campaign…so there you go!!!

Experience doesn’t matter…money does. Typical Trump.
