It looks like Edward Snowden is stuck in Russia.
Snowden has been seeking a way to travel to Norway so he can receive the Ossietzky Prize in Oslo for his “outstanding efforts for freedom of expression,” according to the BBC.
However, the Norwegian supreme court rejected Snowden’s bid to travel to Norway with a guarantee that he wouldn’t be extradited to the U.S. The ruling would mean that Snowden could be extradited to the U.S. if he chooses to travel to Oslo.
If extradited to the U.S. Snowden faces up to 30 years behind bars for his role in leaking sensitive government information.
Snowden currently resides in an undisclosed location in Russia after Moscow refused to give him up despite numerous requests from the Obama administration in 2013.
