According to Reuters, Ivanka Trump won’t take a job in her father’s incoming White House administration.
News of her decision not to serve in the White House comes as her husband, Jared Kushner, was picked to serve as a senior adviser to Donald Trump.
Ivanka Trump, who’s been an adviser on her father’s transition team along with his two adult sons, will instead get her family assimilated into their new home in Washington, D.C., transition officials told Reuters. Ivanka Trump and Kushner have three young children, ages 9 months to 5 years.
Trump and Kushner are reportedly moving into a house in the Kalorama neighborhood in Washington, just blocks away from where President Obama and his family will reportedly move when he leaves office.
There has been much speculation that Ivanka Trump would take on a role similar to that of a first lady. Last month, a spokeswoman for Trump denied that an office space in the White House meant for the first lady would be reserved for Ivanka.
