Well, Trump just got what he wanted, and the NFL gave it to him on a silver platter. Last month at a Luther Strange rally, Trump called any players who kneel during the national anthem “sons of b*tches.” Since then, there has been an ongoing debate on whether players should be allowed to protest during the national anthem. Trump accomplished his goal, which was to create divisiveness in the NFL.
According to The Hill, team owners will meet next week to discuss a new rule that could potentially prohibit players from exercising their First Amendment right.
The protests began when former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick knelt in protest of police brutality against African-Americans. Trump then led people to believe that players are disrespecting the country and the flag.

Over the weekend, Trump and VP Mike Pence orchestrated a political stunt at a Colts-49ers game to draw more attention to the issue. NFL Commissioner sent a letter to all NFL teams this week saying that the problem needs to be addressed because of the detrimental impact it’s having on the NFL community.
Meanwhile, Trump is undoubtedly patting himself on the back for successfully infiltrating an organization that twice denied his business.
What is your reaction?
