A CNN commentator came forth this Sunday to blast former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, asking him whether he believes paying off a porn star is “presidential.”
Scaramucci had been defending President Trump, claiming that the president is “obviously very presidential,” while suggesting that the panelists on CNN’s “State of the Union” just don’t approve of his approach.
Liberal commentator Bakari Sellers immediately interrupted Scaramucci.
“If Barack Obama paid off a porn star $130,000, if he cheated on three wives. I mean, listen the list goes on and on and on,” he declared.
“If he had a handful of advisers that were either indicted or pled guilty, then there would be pitchforks in front of the White House. Presidential is not something that’s associated with President Trump.”
Scaramucci went on to suggest that Trump would win again in 2020, in keeping with remarks Trump made Saturday night during a campaign rally where he said to his supporters that they would be bored if he were always acting presidential
“But you can’t rebut anything that I’ve said about being presidential,” Sellers said. “Paying off a porn star is presidential?
“You know, how easy it is to be presidential? But you’d be so bored because I could stand up, right?” Trump had declared during his speech.
Trump then slipped into a heinous caricature of what he believes is a more formal politician, stiffening himself and speaking with a more nasally vocal resonance
“I’m very presidential. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being here tonight. Rick will be a great, great congressman. He will help me very much. He’s a fine man and Yong is a wonderful wife. I just want to tell you on behalf of the United States of America that we appreciate your service. We appreciate your service,” Trump mocked.
