In a hilarious stunt the mothers of “Saturday Night Live” cast members joined their children onstage Saturday night, to offer up their mock opinions
on the show’s infamous coverage of President Trump.
The show kicked off Saturday night with a tribute to Mother’s Day. Cast members including Kenan Thompson, Kyle Mooney, Aidy Bryant brought their moms in front of the live audience.
Thompson, who is currently the longest-serving cast member in history, asks his mom if she likes the show.
“I do,” she says. “Except for all the political stuff. We get it!”
Mikey Day questions his mom, “Did you think that I’d be on ‘SNL’ some day?”
When she says “No,” he reminds her that he performed in a production of “The Crucible” when he was in high school.
“Oh right,” she said. “You know, ‘The Crucible’ is a lot like the witch hunt against President Trump. “
Luke Null credits his mom with always giving “the best advice.”
“Here’s some more – enough with the Trump jokes,” she says. “And why doesn’t ‘SNL’ ever talk about Crooked Hillary?”
Mooney’s mother joked that the “political stuff” is humourless, and that she only likes the sketches “that everyone can laugh at … like Kenan [Thompson]’s sketches.”
And the mother of Colin Jost, who currently hosts the show’s “Weekend Update” segment, came to the defense of one aspect of the show’s political humor.
“I think Alec Baldwin does a great Trump impression,” she said. “But why does it have to be so mean? Who writes that stuff?”
And of course conservatives are flipping out:

Heard about the mom's comments regarding SNL's angry, mean spirited, one sided, political skits. Has SNL learned anything #changedchannelnov2016
