The Republican party is the definition of a 3-ring sh*t show. The implosion that’s happening in that once-sturdy political party is occurring at an unprecedented rate. The historic way the legendary GOP has withered away, is nothing short of remarkable. And it’s basically all Donald Trump’s fault. Well, he and Vladimir Putin, of course.
While many in the GOP are too stubbornly loyal to ever admit their guy is guilty of any wrongdoing, it seems as though that obnoxious tune is starting to change. This week, Republican Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Richard Burr, delivered a polarizing statement about Donald Trump, that raised more than a few eyebrows on Capitol Hill.
Burr said, “We see no reason to dispute the conclusions. There is no doubt that Russia undertook an unprecedented effort to interfere with our 2016 elections.”
Another member of the committee, Mark Warner, echoed similar sentiments. Stating, “After a thorough review, our staff concluded that the [intelligence community assessment] conclusions were accurate and on point. The Russian effort was extensive, sophisticated, and ordered by President Putin himself for the purpose of helping Donald Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton.” Wow. What do YOU make of all this?
